Stony Lane...

A long walk down Stony Lane...Will you join me?, I hope so...
I love the colours at the moment...Especially in the hazy sunshine over the weekend.
I stayed with my Mother in Cornwall...And we both fancied a good walk in the Cornish countryside.
Stony Lane is beautiful with wooded hilly landscapes on either side...beautiful stony hedgerows makes it feel your walking down a Rabbits warren...

This has to be one of the best Autumns I've seen down here in the sticks of the west country.
The colours and blissful sunshine for November are simply breathtaking...

Lots of wildlife and butterflies still around making the most of the warmish light.

Hazy sun makes everything look magical...

No cars or housing for miles...

Fruitful stony hedgerows.

Views across to the distant woodlands...

A little place to rest your feety-pegs...and take in the view.

It was just lovely to take a gentle stroll chatting with my mother about her week and catching up on life in general while amongst the beauty of the country side taking in the smells and fresh air.

We treated ourselves to drinks at the local 'Rising Sun' pub and a meal...
Fuel to get us back up stony lanes hill...and towards home...

We sat reading magazines by the toasty fire at my mothers home...
That evening we watched the neighbouring farms big bomb fire flickering in the moonlight and dramatic fireworks display.

Lovely vintagey-christmasy magazine 'Homes & Antiques'.
The festive spirit is truly apon me..

I got my festive fairy bulbs out for my dresser...

My mother gave me this wonderful book for inspiration...
Its wonderful!...

My creative doodles in the spirit of Christmas...

Thanks for joining me here and all your wonderful comments are such a joy!

  3. I love every single one of these photos - just stunning! Thank you for taking us on your walk - we had a very grey and drizzly weekend so I missed all the light and colour.
And your dresser with the twinkly lights really should really be in a homes/interiors magazine - it is gorgeous!

And I loved the cosy home ones, and the Christmas spirit appearing too....I'm beginning to think about it as well and the first thing I do is put up little lights and get out lots of red and white things!

  27. Kazzy you are right, it has been the best Autumn for ages, the leaves seemed to have lasted a long time. It is always a delight to join you on your walks, your photos are so lovely.

I love the Christmas magazines, and have started to sing the odd bits of christmas carols and songs. Unfortunately, the rest of the family think it a little too early, but the build up is what makes it so special.

  31. Oh, I'm with B.......I want to go walking with you too. Here in Australia we have the summer Christmas, it has never felt right to me I guess because we have the traditional hot turkey roast and our Christmas cards depict snow scenes etc. One day I hope to visit England, maybe I need to stay a while and have a Christmas there.
