Hot soup...

Well, my lovelies, Its back to the school week...at least waking up seemed easier for me and an extra hour to get ready...And for once we walked to the school gates without getting soaked.
I'm back on top of my housework- Spent a good hour clearing away toys, hoovering and putting the washing on and clean washing piles away...
We had a busy family half term and we both enjoyed it- Though I feel after spending time away at families houses I'm always really lacking in energy when I return and like to get back into my own routine.
I find Sweet pea only sleeps well in her own bed and so do I.
We both enjoyed spooky gatherings and dressing up!.
But today I'm just Thankful for peace and quiet and getting my home back on the straight level.
A Lovely hot chicken cuppa soup is keeping me warm...
Autumnal beauty is keeping me cheery.

Half term...

The home world is in messy mayhem and obstacle courses in every room...Tea parties and teddy's,
Dvd's on and colouring books open and toys scattered across the floor space.
But i wouldn't have it any other way- The house work and clutter can wait!
We're having FUN! .

Market horse...

A little tatty, a little old....well used and much loved...once played with and once new...
Sitting there on a Market stall...A little horse.
So home you came A'trotting...with me to be lovingly adored with a little ribbon and bell.
Sweet pea's named you Toffee and I believe it matches your colour perfectly...

A few photo's from my Half term walks...

The rain has been hammering down...but between some sunny skies! ;0)

Mr Pumpkin...

There is a very fine Mr Orange fellow sitting in my home...A Cornish Pumpkin from my mother's local farm.
He has been rather messy to handle...But he's fitting in nicely. Mr Elfling is liking a manly friend to chatter with...after all the girly natters. Its quite a messy job taking out the Pumpkin inners...Sweet pea helped me too.  What to do with Pumpkin inners?!...Uhmmm????...Its an acquired taste isn't it?...
I've had pumpkin pie before but I've never tried soup...so this is what I am going to try and attempt.

Sweet pea sat eating jammy toast and strawberry milkshake while I cut out the pumpkin face.
I really enjoy our weekends together- The mornings just pottering about chatting to each other and no rush to be anywhere...

Saturday was sooo warm and heavenly we caught the train to Cornwall to see my mother for a good walk and lunch at her house and Sweet pea loves playing in her Gypsy caravan at the bottom of her garden.
It was a lovely family day and even more lovely to sit outside in the sunshine.

Today seems quite over cast...But all is still and peaceful.

I treated myself to a 'Country Living' magazine...

I love having a good walk...This time of year is my most favourite time...The Autumnal colours are blissful.

There are still lots of lovely rose heads peeping through...

A lovely family walk followed by cosy comforts...

When Its night time and the curtains are shut...I've noticed magical things happening in the kitchen...

Suddenly the Pumpkin is full of light!

Warm and cosy...

Hello lovelies ...I've just been enjoying my 'Brunch'...Hot Rice pudding and hearty lashings of 'Bonne Maman' strawberry jam...warms me up and makes me feel cosy on this grey, drizzly day.
Its not 'home made'. It fresh out a Devonshire tin! hehe.
How are you all keeping warm today?...
I've been loosing posts?!- I'm not sure what's happened...but I've posted a few times and some post have just disappeared...without a trace!...Luckily comments go to my email account, so I know I've posted and had replies. Oh'well, Hopefully its just a short and sweet disappearing act! and all will be back to normal now/soon!. I've repeated some images from a few days ago in case any of you missed them.
My sweet decorative Monsoon robins...My roses are at the almost gonners stage!...But I like to keep them as long as possible...I haven't done anything today- I'm actually recovering still from my weekend!
Maybe I'm just not used to a social life and evenings out! hehe...I feel totally shattered...and the school runs have been a run this week...The darker mornings are not helping my wake up pattern!.
So today I've just pottered about with general house work and washing. I never usually watch day time tv, but I did sit and watch 'Bargain Hunt' on bbc 1 and really enjoyed it...I have two wrapped and need posting,  deliveries- for two lovely ladies in Blog land- Sorry for my delay!, I promise to post them off on Monday...I'm not very organised this week.

Magical rain drops collected in Spider's webs...(re-posted)
I love these images I took on my camera a few days ago!- spell bounding!...

The sea was calling me...

A little ferry boat...
The sea was calling me...the waves were taking me... to Cawsands.
The misty damp skies and rocky cliffs were making this sweet Cornish village look magical.
Now the tourists had packed up and headed home it was quiet and peaceful...some little holiday cottages windows with shutters closed up for the Winter months...The weaving, winding little narrow roads greeted us up the little hills from the beach towards a welcoming warm pub for a nice cool pear cider and breather with my good friend before a long walk...

The little ferry boat...that arrives on the beach...

A view from the hill top...

Jagged , rocky cliffs...peaceful waves.

The woods with golden carpets...A cushion beneath my feet.

Autumn is the most beautiful of seasons...so much colour- so much beauty...

The tree's so stunning and tall...make you feel as small as small can be.

Then a hustle bustle market town of Totnes, It has been a rather busy weekend, but really lovely!.
And yummy clotted cream, cream teas.

I love the atmosphere at Totnes...A little market town on top of a hill.
Lots of Crafts and Antiques to admire, haggle and buy or like me window shop and lots of arty, fun types of people singing, playing instruments and making things on the path ways.
Its always busy on a Saturday.

I always get drawn to a church...I'm not big on religion but I do feel a lot of peace within when I visit.

Its been great to explore and enjoy the sights with a good friend...
I'm totally shattered and thanking the heavens its non pupil day today...
No school runs! yay!.

Peaceful Monday...Hope you all had a great weekend.
I've noticed a few of my older posts keep disappearing not sure why?...
