Little tree...

With strike action today and Sweet pea being home from school with me we have kept ourselves busy with craft making activities...painting, gluing and sticking things...and quite a lot of glitter involved!.
The home is looking messy but sparkly!- After lunch we walked to the city. It was busy with protesters and families. I treated Sweet pea to some of the fair ground rides then we walked home.
I did notice this lovely little Christmas tree and I thought it would look sweet in the kitchen window.

Red, green, blue and white- my favourite colours!...
I did fancy getting the tree up, but I turned on my two year old, 200 pck Christmas tree lights and no light!...I sat for half an hour trying to go through each one to see if I could find the bulb that was blown! - no luck!...Grrrrr!!.
Another expense... ;0(

Hope all the mummy's are enjoying this extra day with their little'ns xx

...could have gone better!

Well, what an eventful weekend...Travelled all the way by a hired people carrier on Friday to my Beloved Essex for a Family wedding...Was feeling pretty good on the journey and looking forward to spending time with lovely family members- Staying in a lovely hotel near the wedding ceremony...
Myself and Sweet pea couldn't be more excited!...But on the wedding morning I wasn't feeling quite right...
Made it to the wedding ceremony and speeches...but suddenly had to dash back to the hotel room where I was horridly sick for the rest of the day-night! ;0(. I was so upset- while everyone partied and chatted I was laying on the bathroom floor feeling so horrid!!. Luckily my mother and Twinny took Sweet pea to the party and she had a fantastic time, danced the night away til 11pm.
I missed seeing family members that were only able to make the evening party- so i felt so sad as i might not see them for another year ;0(...I was sooo very teary!, especially missing my little brother! (I say little but he's actually 8 years older than me!)...We travelled home the next morning- I drank bottled water all the way and slept for 5 hours...
I was so pleased to get home...Though I feel really down today...missing family I wont see for such a long time and getting over a tummy bug!- Not much joy at all...
Made it for the school run this morning and Sweet pea had such a lovely weekend playing with cousins, aunties and uncles...went to school as happy as can be.

I've been moping- feeling sorry for myself...but looking through cheery books and lovely blog's to cheer me up a bit ;0). ('sew pretty Christmas home style' by Tilda) My last years Christmas book from my Twinny.

I saw this wonderful image from 'Pinterest'. Its so sweeeeeet.

More lovely Tilda images...

I hope we have snow over Christmas day .

Under the weather...

My little Sweet pea has been rather unwell and due to this I haven't been posting. I hope you are all well though? . Thank you for all the lovely messages on my last posting- Really cheered me up seeing so many sweet comments- I don't feel comfortable posting pictures of myself but sometimes its nice to see who posts behind the blog. My daughter has had a nasty chesty, horrid bug!, ear infection and she's just felt so tired from being kept up with the dreaded coughing...But Yesterday she returned to school, feeling brighter and happier. I've felt so lacking in energy too and not myself, luckily escaped the dreaded bug!.
So today, well this morning I went for a good walk through my local lovely park- The fresh air, escape from the home which I have felt totally hemmed in with bugs and tiredness. It was just good to get out feel the hazy sun on my face, walk in the wet and crispy leaves and just sit on a bench in the silence looking around at natures beautiful Autumnal colours. On my way home I treated myself to the 'Country Living' magazine.
So I have sat with my 'innocent' smoothie (that's where the knitted charity hats came from) flicking through the festive pages...

Love picking up leaves in the park...Sweet pea likes all the different colours and shapes.

A lovely vintagey-crafty and gifty gift shop near me had some lovely Christmas goodies in the window-
Including Cath Kidston candle stick holders and big stockings- couldn't resist .

Bought a metre of red decorative ribbon in the haberdashery for my Kitchen cabinet for 95p!!.

enjoying the festive fairy lights around the home...

I have cheated and bought a pre mix packet of bread mix...So fancy some warm bread and honey for lunch.

Quick and simple!...

The park is so pretty...Autumnal beauty!, So my favourite season...
Here's a few pictures to share with you.

Finally painted Sweet pea's chair that my mother bought at a car boot sale...
Its so sweet- especially white!.

Best wishes,

Stony Lane...

A long walk down Stony Lane...Will you join me?, I hope so...
I love the colours at the moment...Especially in the hazy sunshine over the weekend.
I stayed with my Mother in Cornwall...And we both fancied a good walk in the Cornish countryside.
Stony Lane is beautiful with wooded hilly landscapes on either side...beautiful stony hedgerows makes it feel your walking down a Rabbits warren...

This has to be one of the best Autumns I've seen down here in the sticks of the west country.
The colours and blissful sunshine for November are simply breathtaking...

Lots of wildlife and butterflies still around making the most of the warmish light.

Hazy sun makes everything look magical...

No cars or housing for miles...

Fruitful stony hedgerows.

Views across to the distant woodlands...

A little place to rest your feety-pegs...and take in the view.

It was just lovely to take a gentle stroll chatting with my mother about her week and catching up on life in general while amongst the beauty of the country side taking in the smells and fresh air.

We treated ourselves to drinks at the local 'Rising Sun' pub and a meal...
Fuel to get us back up stony lanes hill...and towards home...

We sat reading magazines by the toasty fire at my mothers home...
That evening we watched the neighbouring farms big bomb fire flickering in the moonlight and dramatic fireworks display.

Lovely vintagey-christmasy magazine 'Homes & Antiques'.
The festive spirit is truly apon me..

I got my festive fairy bulbs out for my dresser...

My mother gave me this wonderful book for inspiration...
Its wonderful!...

My creative doodles in the spirit of Christmas...

Thanks for joining me here and all your wonderful comments are such a joy!

Parents evening & Cakeys...

I'm really proud of my little Sweet pea as we had Parents Evening this week at her school.
She had a glowing report and what topped it off on the proud factor is that her teacher said "Every Teacher needs a Sweet pea in their class". She did say one thing about shouting out answers, but the teacher said I cant really say that's a negative because is lovely she knows the answers...But I know what she means as I think she gets very excitable if she knows something...we've had a little chat about putting our hands up and waiting to be asked ;0)...But other than that she's a little star and I'm so proud she's loving school life.

To celebrate its always good to make cakeys!...

I found these wonderful 'princess' cake toppers in Parchment gift shop.
Top off the cakeys! -Makes them extra special! ;0).

I picked up another lovely Christmas magazine...Ok, its not as good as the 'Prima' one, but has some lovely ideas for the festive home.

Love the Scandinavian festive room ;0) Wowza! what a treat!...
I would so love a beautiful fire place like that...but i will keep dreaming!...

A Thrifty skip in my step...

A little bit of Thriftiness goes a long way...
New boots & Charity shop 'Monsoon' skirt...

And a beautiful evening dress also from the good old charity shop.

I only went in to pay my water bill and do some food market shopping...
But sometimes you cant resist bargains when you see them ;0).
