I've been having a bit of a lunch time cut and stick...more pages in my scrap book.
It made me think about my lovely trips to Buckland Abbey since living in Devon...It has the most beautiful gardens and woodlands surrounding it. Below are my photographs from previous years.
Its part of the National Trust.
700-year-old home of Elizabethan seafarers Drake and Grenville
In the 13th century, Buckland Abbey was home to the Cistercian monks who built the abbey and the incredible Great Barn and farmed the then vast estate.
The Abbey, now a house with a combination of furnished rooms and interactive museum galleries, tells the story of how two seafaring adventurers - Sir Richard Grenville and Sir Francis Drake - changed the shape of the house and the fate of the country.
On days when the windows are open and the weather is warm-ish makes you truly believe Spring and Summer are on their way...Well, I can dream anyway!.
Happy weekend everyone,
x Kazzy x

Those are such beautiful photos. I haven't been to Buckland Abbey although I have passed it on the way to the Garden House and Tavistock. The problem with Devon is there is always so many lovely places to go that you need to live down there permanently to enjoy them all!

ReplyDeleteWhat a dreamy paradise...it looks too pretty to be real. I love your scrapbooks, how fun! I have way too many old mags and catalogs and can neither throw them out nor cut them up, that's not good of me I know :) You inspire me to try!
ReplyDeleteHave the freestyle stitching book you mentioned in your last post and it is truly fun. But after a tiny accident with my sewing machine last week - I won't get into details (it was awful!!! But I'm ok!) - I am a bit afraid of my machine!
I won't stop sewing though!
Happy Sunday night and have a great week! xo Karen
