A room with a view...

My Sunday so far has been pretty much a lazy one...mooching about in my dressing gown and big woolly slipper boots...The sun has been glorious through my Kitchen window- I've even had the window open and listening to the birds. I do enjoy these kind of hazy, lazy Sundays.

(my little mushroom house my Twinny made for me a few Christmas's ago)

Hot Country Veg and Chicken soup for Brunch.

I was looking through my dvd collection while here alone as Sweet pea's with her father- Other than Citv and Cbeebies (children's channels) not a lot of grown up TV gets watched- Other than my Favourite 'Midwifes' at the moment, so I thought I would watch the 1985 film 'A Room With A View'...with Helena Bonham Carter, Maggie Smith and  Dame Judie Dench. Set in Florence and the English Countryside, the film tells the story of a young English couple- Who encounter passion while on a holiday in Italy. Defying the Victorian conversations of their elders they dare to be true to their feelings...I do love the romantic clothing of the time and beauty of the landscapes in this film.

There's nothing like being snuggly under a duvet, sun streaming through the half drawn curtains and watching a lovely film while sipping hot soup- Comfort and Bliss!.

I've been mixing up my Natural and fake flowers to add some colour to the Living room.

Looking at dreamy fabrics and beds...

And enjoying a relaxing Sunday...before the school runs start early tomorrow!.

  22. A film that I will have to look out for. Went to see the Woman in black a couple of nights ago...very scary! Still see Daniel Ratcliffe as Harry Potter though which was a bit odd. He needs a good meaty gangster/baddy roll to dispell that image I think. Love the Toadstool, I have something similar somewhere but mine has a fairy on top.

Minus 4 this morning for the school run, Miss Fairy not at all happy! Have a warm week if you can. Dev x

  23. Me and my friends loved that film when we were younger. Have you seen, 'I Capture the Castle'? It is a nice film and it is on Youtube, so you wouldn't have the hassle of downloading it. It is from one of my favourite books. The BBC adaptation of Cold Comfort farm is also on Youtube and is nice and cosy and costume dramaish. you might like that too.
there is a fim about the poet, Keats that has been out for ages and I would love to see. It looks so beautiful and your cup of tea too.
Love your mushroom house. right, will stop chuntering and pootle off. xxx
