Peggy

My lovely Twinny gave me a doll making kit to make for Sweet pea.
I thought it would make a great Easter gift.

The arms, legs and body and head you wire together and paint the face, legs and arms.
It came with three colours. I added beads to the wired arm joint attached to the wood of the arm.
The body I added a small mitten to make a dress- One of Sweet pea's when she was a baby. I have always kept them because I loved the wool pattern.

I was using a very brittle old paintbrush - I must invest in some new ones.

I enjoyed painting her up...Love spots and stripes ;0)

Peggy the wooden dolly seemed to like the mushroom.

Mainly because it matched her outfit ;0).

I hope you're having a happy Friday.

Thanks Twinny for this lovely gifty! x

  23. How cute! I used to make little peg dolls, I'd forgotten how much fun it is until I saw these pics. Maybe I'll have to have another bash at a Peggy or two. The mitten dress on your little lady was a brilliant idea, I could never match that :D
