A princess and foxgloves

Beautiful walk through the park on the school run. Sometimes I think how much easier it would be if i could drive, but then I'd miss all these beautiful walks...I love seeing the changes week by week through the seasons...There's always something new, something beautiful in nature catching my eyes.

Like today beautiful foxgloves...

Its been beautiful today, much cooler but still beautifully warm for me. I'm not one that likes to sizzle in the sun...Much prefer shady spots.

On a really positive note Sweet pea made it to her Jubilee party...

And all her class looked wonderful all dressed up. Even the teachers in ballgowns!. It was lovely!!!!.

My perfect little princess.

Housework and food shopping to be put away...

Jubilee party dress

Take one simple lacy bridesmaid dress sew on a bit of bunting and red ribbon, add a green bow with button and TA~DAAAH!!!!...Jubilee party dress!.

The only sad bit is...Sweet pea's got a nasty chesty cough and was sick today.

I just hope she's well enough to enjoy such a special day with her school friends, a day to remember!.

best wishes and get well wishes are needed...

coastal paths...

Special moments with my sweet niece Rosie...walking a long the coastal path in the sunny breeze...picking up pebbles and sticks.

Sweet pea has a big jubilee event at her school on Wednesday...she gets to dress as a princess, luckily we've been to a few weddings and have plenty of dressing up clothes...my mothers brought her a tiara.

Sweet pea's very excited!.

Strawberry ~ Sunshine!

When the sun is shining I love...

~ Strawberries ~  Enjoying the sweet flavour with double cream. Naughty but nice!.

listening to the sounds of children playing, my daughter whizzing about on her scooter.

Pottering about in the pots...sitting with a good book/magazine and a cup of tea,

'relaxing'.

Over the last few days I've been enjoying good walks in the country and by the coast.

Along the meadow paths, through the woods and by the pebbled shores.

p.s Thank you for commenting on my last post that i deleted...Mainly, as i wrote it half a sleep and wanted to add some more piccy's. I appreciate all of you taking time to comment- Thank you, your kind words cheer me up...There's been family sadness- relatives passing and also in hospital. So my thoughts have been with them this week...Makes you want to make the most of life & enjoy good health...

Devon sun...

The summer Devon sun has arrived and its glorious!!!!.

Sooo hot and sunny and everything along the coastal paths looks so blissfully pretty.

I had a lovely jolly walk with my Mother in the sunshine along the coastal meadow paths...

The water so blue and so clear...I could have quite easily jumped in! hehe.

We sat in the meadow part of the coastal paths and watched the boats sailing out to sea.

Everything is so lush and green and pretty...May is my favourite month!!!!.

Sweet pea found a new friend and named it Fred the snail ;0).

The skies as blue as the Devon sea...

Some thrifty buys below...I love my new vintage pillow!- the fabric is sooo pretty!.

I hope the sunshine is here to stay...

weekending...

My city has made the national bbc news as the Olympic torch has made its the way through my city on its path through Britain...It was like a busy bee hive of activities , a huge parade of costumes, puppets , bands, navy and military...A huge event to be proud to be British.

Today has been quite different after all the noise and excitement. I've had a Sunday of simple pleasures.

Just myself and elfling as Sweet pea's with her father...its been quite nice to be in the peace and quiet and just have the radio on for company...hanging out washing and sitting with a cup of tea on the courtyard steps...watching the world go by.

The kitchen is looking bright and pretty with all my flowers.

Made cakey's to put in sweet pea's weekly packed lunch.

I've been looking through some favourite magazines and books while my roast cooked.
