Rabbit in the woods

After another soggy School run I hopped onto the ferry boat and went for a jolly good walk in the woods.
I have missed my walks. Its my only way to clear the strains and worries on my frazzled brain sometimes...
I used to find walking in remote area's a bit daunting and its always good to have company. But the more you do things alone the easier it gets...And actually I do love that feeling of being by myself to think and explore and only hear the sounds of tree's swaying in the breeze , bird songs, snapping twigs and foliage beneath my feet and the sea crashing over the pebbled shore.  Such a peaceful, perfect sound.  Suddenly, all those worries and strains are long forgotten and you just see nature before your eyes.

Its always nice to go at your own speed, I am one to look at everything...and one of the school Mummy's came for a walk with me and she almost jogged the entire walk. I felt like we were on a time limit and I was out of breath trying to keep up with conversation at such speed.  My fast walking is the walk to the ferry its about 35 minutes from my house, So I power walk through the city...quite happy to walk  fast through the built up housing and main road sounds...but when I'm in the country Its nice to take my time over it.

The best bit in the woods is this picture...Its where the path opens up and I love to gaze across for a few moments in time. Its the perfect view in my eyes.

All the foxgloves in the clearing of the woods.

The old ferry boat station. I love this clock.

The wild flowers are actually from a little nature plot of land in the middle of the city- They have grown lots of wild flowers there this July and it looks so beautiful- all the colours!.

After another soggy School run , we are now in snuggly dressing gowns and drinking Pink milk.
Yum!!!!.

This week seems to be dragging, sweet pea's tired and I think we want Friday to hop along quickly!.
Its going to be a busy Summer   wet Holiday as it will be juggling between families and Sweet pea having a week with her father and rented cottage holiday for us too...So I wish you all a fabby time and hope to see you in another post in the holidays.

Oh' I do Like To Be Beside The Sea

When the sun is so bright and cheery the best place to be is by the sea side...
Splashing in the waves, looking for shells and general beach combing...Oh' and looking up at the bright blue sky!- Yippppppeeeee!!!!!. First proper day Sweet pea's got to wear one of her new summer dresses- I love the boat pattern and colours.

Glorious Sunshine.

chasing waves...pebble skimming...soaking up the sun rays.

This is how I like my July to be...

There were moments of dark cloud...but they soon passed!.

Along the coastal paths...

Back home via the Light house.

A Sunday roast with Nanny and candy floss- Yum!.

My little Rabbit patch

:: I have been asked by a magazine if they can do an article on my Tea Towel Patchwork. Which is lovely and I will tell you more nearer the time. Its made me re-look at the original patchwork I did and make it better- I am not the neatest of patch workers, So I have been a lot stricter with myself...I've also been inspired to make some patchwork hearts and decorative felt brooches.  It really has made me see how important my blog is- not only does it help you connect with wonderful 'like minded' friends it is also a little crack in the door to a wider, bigger audience and hopeful dreams for the future.
'Positive thinking' Kazzy!.

:: Making Rocky Road...Yummers!!!!.

:: Do you like my Rabbit badge?...I found the vintage badge in a charity shop a while back but have added to a rosette.

mmmmmm...warm milky coffee...

Enjoying 'making things' again, reading new monthly magazines and my buddleia cheering up my table.

I have lots going on with Sweet pea's school and other things, so I best crack on...

Take care my lovelies, don't get too wet...I've got wet on every school run!!.
