White Hyacinths have a very strong but sweet aroma...not to everyone's liking, but I do like them.
Last year I learnt a very valuable lesson with these flowers and that was not to over water, very little actually.
Otherwise they go very long and stringy in the stem. Well, that is what I felt happened with last years lot.
I do love it when the Sun shows her pretty face~ I was glad to see the back of those freezing temps!...Its turned a lot more mild and I like it that way. Still, feel a bit cheated of the snow!...But I've got over it and well and truly looking forward to Spring!.
To be honest the last few days Ive still been trying to fight off the flu!...I've been like a hermit crab tucked up in a shell of my duvet with cold and flu capsules and lots of hot syrupy drinks!...blooming bugs!!
Least , I've woken today with the sun on my face and little more human...
The lovely green floral shirt hanging over the chair my Twinny brought me from her Charity shop~ It was NEXT originally and its lovely and floaty...lucky me.
Floral's sure add that bright sweetness to my day,
Happy Sunday,
x Kazzy x

What a nice bright and breezy post.I'm feeling better already.Hope your flu bug goes away soon.We had 7 inches of snow which was great to begin with but I am glad to see the back of it.I noticed in the garden that you can see the flower heads on the daffodils so Spring mustn't be far away(says she hopefully!!)

Hello Kazzy, I'm a newbie to this but I've been reading your divine blog for a while now.
ReplyDeleteIt's only since posting my very first blog that I feel cheeky enough to comment!
You take the most beautiful photographs.
I love Hyacinths too, I bought some the other day, I adore the smell but just know that I'll be moving them to a discreet corner once they come into flower as they tend to give me a headache :(
Lovely floral skirt/boot combo, I admire your style, it's so comfy too.
Your delightful post has inspired me to Spring clean, so off I pop!

ReplyDeleteI too love hyacinths, but they are an acquired taste. My pink one is being very stingy with its scent at the moment.
