A day at home

A non-pupil day due to teacher training today meant Myself and Sweet pea had some fun just on our own at home...We had a lovely lazy morning with hot choco's and morning cartoons snuggled under duvets on the sofa...It was lovely not having to do the school run.

Sweet pea made cakeys and decorated them...

This afternoon we've made a mess painting...

I've really enjoyed today, Just us two and the weather blowing a gale outside while we are snug indoors.

**** Blissful ****

Simplicity

A day of simple, joyful things.
I went to bed a bit heady last night, my life's been a bit complicated lately and I have felt the need to take a step back today and just not think about it all. Thank you all so kindly, Your lovely messages on my last post sure made me smile...I'm glad i'm not the only one feeling a bit in a rut with their blogs. I do enjoy blogging - it does me good I think to share small parts of my life with like minded people and your comments give me a spring in my step.  But I think I was taking it all a bit too seriously, after all its just a blog. Simplicity is what I like about blogging and I shouldn't try and over do it with fancy features.  I had a very good walk after the school run through the park and a sit down looking at the parks house- Such a beautiful grand house it is- Though now solicitors offices, but very traditional still on the outside.  I then walked to the Market as I haven't brought fresh flowers for a few week and they sure cheer the home up. Its been a random kind of day weather wise...Quite over cast and breezy, Yesterday was how June should be Beautiful blue skies.
Though walking through the park in the heavy cloud seemed quite lovely. Peaceful and tranquil.

The roses are slowly picking themselves up after the heavy rain last week...

Fruitful tree's.

My lovely bunch of Market flowers...( I added in some fake berry branches).
Blue, white and red...just perfect.

I think I'm feeling a bit less of the 'Blogger blues'...Thanks to all your lovely messages of encouragement.

Me, Myself and I...

I am having a 'bloggy moment'...The last week I've been deleting posts and adding new headers like there's no tomorrow...Bare with me friends. I've been in a creative frame of mind and trying to create better posts and pictures- But you know what?!. I think I preferred it better when I wasn't trying so hard. I've lost the flow of my blog and I am in a bit of a rut with it...I think its the same with my life...new challenges, new goals, bettering myself- I've had quite a head ache lately trying to figure everything out- my brains got too much to think about.  Its quite normal really, i'm not depressed I feel full of enthusiasm towards life and what I'm trying to achieve in my life. But there comes a time when you try to hard and think to much...
Maybe the Sun has got to my head? Oh jolly joys hasn't it been lovely day today! A real June day at last!!!!.
I hope the sun was shining for you lovelies too?!.

I dont really share many piccy's of myself- But as i was in a rather pretty summer dress and new head band I thought it was worth a photograph.

I was naughty tonight and made myself and Sweet pea Fish & Chips with baby toms...Quick, easy and yum!.

I've got a thing for Tomatoes at the moment I'm popping them in my mouth like sweets!.

Thank you for your lovely comments, I so appreciate them. Sorry my posting and deleting has been a bit 'clumsy' and 'half hearted'...

Normal blogging will resume soooooon! (i hope!)

Another wet summer?

Flip flops, shorts, wellies, rain coats and Sunshine and Rain!...All in one day!?!.
Yes! there is a pattern and i'm sensing another wet summer ahead!.
Flash flooding and hose pipe bans. Well, there is trying to be positive but i've kinda given up!.
I'm starting to get confused about what season we are in and what to wear.
So, yep! the school run was a wet one. I say wet, but actually it couldn't get much wetter!.
The funny, well, not really funny thing is that I was wearing shorts and flip flops in the morning and was so very hot on my food shopping trip...least I made it home before the heavens opened. But the school run was a different story!!!!!!!!- soaked is putting it lightly. Least I brought a magazine to cheer me up from the comfort of indoors...Sweet pea's got a new liking to warm milk with a hint of sugar and especially when mummy puts it in an old milk bottle...When Sweet pea was much younger dairy products would give her nasty, scratchy rashes all over...but as she's got older her skins improved greatly and i'm letting her have more milk. I think calcium's important for bone developments. And as she hates cheese i'm glad she likes milk.  Its a joy to have something warm after getting soaked!...

During the half term I brought the Mollie Makes magazine. Now, i must confess the price tag usually puts me off...and i haven't brought it for a few months, But being a 'simple crafter', I liked the idea of an easy peasy make. The princess and the pea make caught my eye...and i was sold.

Warm milk and making a little princess -what could be more appealing on a wet evening?...

We've also been reading some of our vintage 'Jane And Peter' Ladybird books.

I was also overjoyed to see I'd won JellyJams giveaway...she is so talented and i love the vintage fabrics she makes lovely things out of, Do check out her lovely blog!.

Despite the rain i feel a 'summer' in my step! hehe,

Life In Eden

Hello there!...I hope you all enjoyed the merry Jubilee celebrations and the live coverage on the t.v too.
I certainly did...There were so many wonderful events about. It was wonderful to see communities coming together, smiling faces- Joyful, happy times. The Queen with her family on the Thames was my most favourite- The Queen looked so pleased to see all the crowds in their thousands joyfully cheering. A proud time to be British...Its not all been about Royal celebrations though, I've been enjoying good company and trips out and about.  My most favourite day has to be getting a train to The Eden Project.
I had a fantastic day there...So much to see and do. A wonderful place for children, so many fun activities and learning resources.  But for me it was the outer gardens. I loved all the gardens and flowers, veg patches  leading down.  So much to capture on my camera!- It was quite exciting. So much to inspire and admire!!.. So this is quite a looonnnnggg posting!...enjoy!

The flowers of all varieties, wild and full of blooms...From hot countries like Africa to cooler climates.
Eco friendly and recyclable products at Eden play a big factor in their thoughts and designs and the way they maintain their gardens in harmony with nature.

The Eden Bakery restaurants are wonderful...full of home made style foods and delicious salads and fresh baked breads...and the choice to sit outside right in the heart of natures beauty. I loved it!.

The wild flowers at our table.

The vegetable gardens.

Recycling out wellies!...

I took my umbrella it was day of all weathers. Rain clouds and beautiful sunshine.

An African garden.

A puppet show.

A large pond full of life.

Paradise comes to mind.
Such a beautiful day...

Nature is a wonderful thing!
