Its been a rather hectic week. Getting back in the swing of school runs, endless amounts of paperwork and emotional baggage, so in true Kazzy style I just needed a good ramble in the Country side and leave all those headaches behind. Well, for a few hours anyway.
So, Off to the Woodlands we headed... Sweet pea with my pocket guide to Mushrooms & myself with a basket for foraging. Its a wonderful time for blackberries. I think all that vital last September Sunshine has really helped. All is fruitful and ripe for the picking!, but leaving some behind for the Wildlife of course!.
Not many ended up in the basket and we both had red lips!...pleasures!.
Sweet pea wood combing...
Where the woodlands opened and the sun rays lit the meadow field there in in between the wild land were huge spider webs reaching as far as the eye could see...lots and lots of webs!.
Back on the nature trail we headed towards the Country House and Gardens.
...every step of blissful Country woodland...and a little wooden bench to stop and listen and take it all in.
Fruits from our labor...
The warming September sun...
I think there is nothing better than the Country side to spend time with your children...
Adventures begin at every part...
The calling sounds of the birds, the rustles in the hedgerows, the swaying branches, the cracking of woodland twigs beneath your feet, exploring for mushrooms and wild berries...it opens up your childs imagination and learning through fun...also a great source of exercise!. There's nothing better in my book.
It helps me escape from the stresses and strains of modern living...
enjoy your peaceful Sunday,
