Cornish Country

After the School run on Friday we hopped on a train to see my Mother in Cornwall.
My mother wanted to treat Sweet pea to a day at the farm & donkey sanctuary as its her Birthday in a week...We walked there on Saturday Morning from my Mother's cottage...I love the stream near by that runs down through the woodlands.  Sweet pea played pooh sticks and hopped about on the stepping stones in the shallows of the stream in her new red birthday boots.

The Horse Whisperer...

A long the woodland paths...The leaves starting to turn golden and reds...slowly dropping from the branches swaying in the Autumnal breeze.

I've been busy wrapping up Sweet pea's birthday gifts...I love this floral wrapping paper below.

My little Sweet pea in a blink of an eye is growing up so fast...she's going to be tall like her mother!!.

Autumnal blessings sweet blogging friends,

Little finds and flowers

It has turned nippy here despite the sunshine shining her pretty little face as hard as possible!...
I am not complaining as I do love this change to Autumnal days...The park looked so glorious today. The leaves are changing to golden tones and deep reds. I had a lovely walk this morning and on my way home I found  for a happy some of £3!!!! this little lot of charity shop goodies. I have to admit I've hardly seen anything worth buying for months...But today was different.
1. lovely Autumnal bowl by John Russel called 'Midwinter' 2. A Cath Kidston hankie (well, I'm sure it is though it has no tag on it) 3. collection of Christmas decorations of soldiers, hearts and angels and 4. Three lovely white framed Flower Fairy prints.  Excuse the poor picture quality- To add to the list of things going 'tits up' in my life at the moment my laptops decided to stop working!!- So I'm borrowing my Twinnys unused older one and well, its a positive to have it while mine is being serviced but its dreadfully slow!!!! and no photo editing like my one. But it will do for the time being.
It was lovely today to just have a moment to myself and do something joyful...

My Mother and Sweet pea gave me a lovely bunch of flowers yesterday and sweet glittery cards to cheer me up!...They both have been my rocks these last few weeks...I love them both to bits.

The sun has been shining though the temperature has dropped quite a bit.
Its lovely to see the final little flowers heads peeping through...

Foxy Tale

Another rather testing and very busy week...But in the late evenings I've been thinking about Christmas- I know shoot me now?!- It does seem rather early, but I want to be more creative this year and reduce my spending on family gifts, usually I'm already on a very tight budget, but with heating bills rocketing and food prices I need to save where I can. So Yes!, Christmas has to be thought of now and with me things take an age to make!...Drawing on the other hand comes very easily when I'm stressed, maybe my heads way of escaping/relaxing?...So, while on a roll I've been doodling some Christmas pressies. I love the idea of illustrations on cushions, so this is my thought for Mr foxy!- Though, still needs some finishing off. I've started on a Hare also...I dont think I've quite got his head right after many sketches?! I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Sweet pea's taken up Dance lessons , Its something she's wanted to do for a while and with her birthday coming up I thought it was worth it...Fun exercise.  She seems so happy this term- she's made some lovely friendships. Though her teacher is off for two weeks due to his wife giving birth. So they have supply teachers at the moment. She's almost completed her second week! woweee! School time flies...She turns 6 years old in a few weeks!!!!!...

The weather really has turned Autumnal this week, rather nippy in the evenings...
So lots of cosy comforts and big Jumpers to save the gas bill!,

keep cosy and snug this weekend my lovelies,

p.s...*updated* with A little more of what I've been up to this afternoon...

where the wild things are

Its been a rather hectic week. Getting back in the swing of school runs, endless amounts of paperwork and emotional baggage, so in true Kazzy style I just needed a good ramble in the Country side and leave all those headaches behind. Well, for a few hours anyway.
So, Off to the Woodlands we headed... Sweet pea with my pocket guide to Mushrooms & myself with a basket for foraging.  Its a wonderful time for blackberries. I think all that vital last September Sunshine has really helped.  All is fruitful and ripe for the picking!, but leaving some behind for the Wildlife of course!.

Not many ended up in the basket and we both had red lips!...pleasures!.

Sweet pea wood combing...

Where the woodlands opened and the sun rays lit the meadow field there in in between the wild land were huge spider webs reaching as far as the eye could see...lots and lots of webs!.

Back on the nature trail we headed towards the Country House and Gardens.

...every step of blissful Country woodland...and a little wooden bench to stop and listen and take it all in.

Fruits from our labor...

The warming September sun...

I think there is nothing better than the Country side to spend time with your children...
Adventures begin at every part...
The calling sounds of the birds, the rustles in the hedgerows, the swaying branches, the cracking of woodland twigs beneath your feet, exploring for mushrooms and wild berries...it opens up your childs imagination and learning through fun...also a great source of exercise!. There's nothing better in my book.

It helps me escape from the stresses and strains of modern living...

enjoy your peaceful Sunday,
