Seasonal round up 2012

A Seasonal round up of 2012

~  Spring in my step ~

I have been having a rather nostalgic look back through my archives of photographs.
A year of colour and beauty, Country side and coastlines, West to East, Jubilee celebrations and the Olympics...and the comforts of home with my little girl...Its not all been a whirl of wonderment and happiness~ Life's been a rough ride at times, but I dont document that so much on my blog as this is my happy escape and my place to document the happy, colourful parts. I have a lot to thank my daughter for and my lovely family ~ they keep me grounded and loved. And that's what always see's me through.  I find New Years quite daunting and a little anxious of what the new year may bring...but I find one step at a time...and focus on the simple things that give me joy.
Photography has opened up a really happy door in my life the last 5 years~ I love capturing a precious moment in time ~ And looking back through my photographs I can see how important it is to capture those really special bits.  I thought a seasonal round up of 2012 will be a good way of bringing the new year in.

~  Summer ~

A rather wet beginning to the Summer...

~ A holiday to remember for a life time ~

~ Autumnal days arrived ~

Bringing with it a late Summer of sun into September...

Sweet pea turned 6 years old...

Then it was my birthday and in a blink of an eye it was time to celebrate the festive season...

Its been good to look back and remember those wonderful highlights...

I wish you all a happy, healthy 2013!!!!

And I look forward to seeing your blog posts in the new year.
Thanks always for the lovely comments,

all is quiet

Waving Good Byes to loved ones is always a hard thing after a jolly good Christmas get-together.
Back at Home the place seems so quiet I could hear a pin drop...I miss the sound of Sweet pea's laughter playing with Gramps, Nanny and Cousins~ sweet pea's having her Christmas No.2 with Daddy for 5 days...We have had a lovely time and I stayed most of Christmas with My Twinny and Family...
I've put the heating up as its so cold in my home after being away over Christmas ~
hopefully it will warm up a bit.
Wonderful gifts were given and received...I feel spoiled rotten as always.
My Twinny made me Mr Foxy scarf inspired by 'tiny owl knits'. Its just darling!!!! and will be seriously loved!.

Finishing off left over Christmas buffet food...looking through birthday cards and special books.

Its been a Wonderful Christmas...

I hope you have all had a lovely time...

The season to be jolly!

I so L*O*V*E this time of year...For lots of reasons, but mainly...
Hand-made, Hot deep filled mince pies made by my own fair hands...with sprinkles of icing sugar.
Fairy lights twinkling on the tree...I just love that early morning first switch on of the fairy lights!- I'm like a child in a sweet shop standing there in that moment of time gazing at them- Magical.
Speaking to my Father on the East coast knowing he's booked his Ticket to Devon for the Christmas holidays...Happy feeling inside.

Walking around my favourite place to visit across the moor's and enjoying the pretty views, beautiful houses that I dream of owning and think what I'd do to them if I did...Locally, lovely, independent, family run shops with traditional Christmas window displays...

Visiting a favourite church...Praying for health and happiness.
Lighting candles.

Fun of the Christmas market and fair ground rides.

Opening more Advent swapsie parcels from Marina.

Wonderful Vintage lady bird books, Cath Kidston soaps, hand made soaps and Christmas decorations.

A beautiful Christmas tin filled with my favourite choc's!...Thanks again Marina.

Walking into the Kitchen on a Sunny bright Morning and looking at all the Christmasy things.

I just L*O*V*E this time of year...

Seasons greetings,

festive display

I do love looking through all the Christmas decorations...This year I decided to have a 'sort of tree' shape in the kitchen, but instead of an actual tree I've used ivy from my court yard, glittery berry branches, part of a hanging wreath, red berry lights and the lovely paper chains Marina sent (on previous posting). The bigger christmas tree is up in the living room, a little one sided and the bulbs have blown on the second night- bum!!!!...Sweet pea decorated it beautifully...Pictures will follow if i can work out what to do with picassa!!??

p.s Bloggers being pants again, saying im limited on photo space in picassa- I could only upload one pic!...

jolly good Advent

A lovely Advent swapsie box/parcel arrived for me on Friday!...
From the Lovely Marina from the blog Evelynmayvintage - It was such a big box packed full of lovely wrapped goodies...The equally as lovely Hookinwithlaalaa hosted the Advent Swap.
I was like a little child in a sweet shop looking at all the wonderful parcels...My weekend has been so choca-bloca I hadn't even had time to look at it until this afternoon...Oh' the joy!!!!. Thank you Marina xxxx
My daughter Sweet pea had opened half the packages thinking i'd left them on the table for her, soooo the numbers in order of Advent are a bit here and there...

Lovely knitted Rabbit and Bear...

I had been to Tavistock to the Craft fair and Vintage and handmade market...Also there was a festival of charity Christmas tree's in the church opposite the indoor market. It was so beautiful inside the church choir music, mince pies, warming tea and lit candles and a glow of Christmas tree's all decorated  by local children and companies...It was magical!!!!.

Across the misty moors...

The lovely Christmas paper chains, patchwork pillowcase, book called 'up with the larks' was from Marina too- Wonderful gifts!...The hand painted wooden mushroom was from the Craft Market in Tavistock.

I've been dusting off the Christmas tree and decorations, Sweet pea's so excited!!!!
