✨πŸŒ±πŸ’šEden πŸ’šπŸŒ±✨

πŸŒ±πŸ’›πŸŒ±πŸ’›πŸŒ±πŸ’›πŸŒžπŸ’›πŸŒ±πŸ’›πŸŒ±πŸ’›πŸŒ±

Last weekend was so busy but so wonderful all rolled into one... The celebration of my mums birthday (and she'd had good news from her cancer scans)... But also its now the Spring equinox... Joy of all joys! πŸ’› And we took a drive to the Eden Project in Cornwall & Fowey by the cornish coast too with my mum... Cakes & sea what could be more perfect...

✨πŸ’›✨🌞✨My Market day daffodils πŸ’›
πŸŒ±πŸ’šπŸŒ±✨🌞✨πŸŒ±πŸ’šπŸŒ±
The Eden project was full of Spring flowers. I thought being out of season so to speak it would still be quite lacking in flowers... But I was so wrong!. At every turn my eyes were blooming happyπŸŒ±πŸ’šπŸŒ±πŸŒž
A wonderful Spring time bee sculpture 🐝
I've been to Eden in the heat of summer and its been packed like a bee hive full of tourists, which is great for the project, but also hard to take pace, slowly walk around... But we felt so much at peace this visitπŸ•Š️
πŸŒ±πŸ’šπŸŒ±Outside it was warm in the sun... I love the allotment, obviously at this time of year its mainly small shoots & lots of beds of earth... But it has bags of rustic character. Which I love.
I love exploring the old sheds, pots & tools.
Then we headed to the Mediterranean domes... Boy' it was hot in there!... Being dressed for Winter wasn't ideal... We sat with our cool drinks on the Greek style white wall... Admiring all the exotic colours... In the centre of the dome a beautiful English Spring like scene greeted usπŸŒ±πŸ’šπŸŒ±πŸ•Š️wicker style sculptures of deer and beautiful blue anemone type flowers and Spring blossom trees... ✨☀️✨🌞✨🌱🌷🌱🌸🌱🌼🌱
The Mediterranean olive and rubber trees... They looked so amazing like they'd been there a hundred years... So much character & charm like distinguished old gentlemen πŸ’šlots of sculptures nestled between all the floral splendour πŸŒ±πŸ’šπŸŒ±πŸ’šπŸŒ±πŸ’š The African style dome we have visited many times before I found it too much this visit in my winter woollies also it was the busiest part of the dome with people ✨🌞✨
We wondered happily outside... πŸŒ±πŸ’šπŸŒ±Lots of places to sit for tea & cakes... Especially amongst the wild trees with rustic benches.
πŸŒ±πŸ’šπŸŒ±I came home from Cornwall all inspired with garden plans & new seedlings
The sun has been shining all week for Spring... ✨🌞✨🌞✨🌞Another Spring time painting... 🎨✨🌼✨🌼✨πŸ•Š️🌸✨
Last Sunday to celebrate my mums birthday we headed for a lovely drive to the cornish Coast to a lovely harbour called Fowey... We parked near Readymoney Cove... A beautiful beach... And peacefully quiet out of season.
Enjoying these trips to the coast again... That was one thing I found hard on lock down not having the peace of the sea & coast in walking distance...

πŸŒ±πŸ’›πŸŒ±πŸ’›πŸŒ±πŸ’›πŸŒ±πŸ’›πŸŒ±πŸ’›πŸŒ±πŸ’›πŸŒ±πŸ’›πŸŒ±
Home comforts this week... My Spring clean... And we have been decorating too... Mainly, re touching the bathroom & bedrooms and a good sort out of old things and some new (not used) blankets to donate to the red Cross charity...
🌱🌞🌱🌞🌱🌞🌱🌞🌱🌞🌱🌞🌱🌞🌱
Sunlight through the cottage windows...
All dressed for Spring days... πŸ’›

πŸŒΏπŸ’›πŸŒΏπŸŒ·Vitamin Sea πŸ’›

πŸšπŸŒΏπŸ’™πŸŒΏπŸ’™πŸŒΏπŸ•Š️πŸ’™πŸŒΏπŸ’™πŸŒΏπŸ’™πŸŒΏπŸš

The sea was calling me...

Being by the sea somehow gives me inner peace, washes away heavy worries of world wide issues & grounds me to thinking positively & putting things into perspective. The last few years have been difficult for everyone... And I've definitely felt drained with the feeling that it's one thing after another... But, taking time out, giving one's self a change of scene ,a good walk in nature, a different view, a breath of fresh sea air does help our inner wellbeing doesn't it...
Just us three by the sea... ❤️
We've all been feeling overwhelmed...  But in that moment while watching the waves roll in (we all laughed and joked as we nearly got soaked by a huge wave) we had suddenly forgotten everything, forgotten those stresses & fears... We pebble skimmed, beach combed and chatted along our walk... Life suddenly felt good, felt positive.
We all had each other and to me that suddenly grounded me... We will be OK, we will get through this.
It cleared my thoughts, re freshed me...
This stone reminded me of a hot cross bun!
I love looking along the tide line, looking at the different shells and rocks... All the colours, shapes and sizes... I could gaze out at sea for hours!... πŸšπŸ’™πŸŒŠπŸšπŸŒŠ
The Cornish coastal villages of Cawsand, Kingsand are joined together on the rame peninsula... A stunningly beautiful area, a bit of a hidden gem. Only a few shops (deli, gift shops) and three pubs... So not really a hot spot for tourists like Padstow. (though does get packed in the holiday cottages during July-August). We stayed in one when Sophia was little, such wonderful memories of that holiday... its my favourite spot!... My happy placeπŸ˜πŸŒΏπŸ•Š️πŸŒΏπŸ’™πŸŒŠπŸ’™
It's a shame really as most of the cottages are holiday homes... Its a bit of a ghost town in Winter months... Stevies father remembers it being quite a busy fishing spot when he was little, filled with fishing boats and a hive of activity ...definitely not like that now. We dream as we walk around and pick out our favourite cottage and how we would decorate itπŸ˜‚πŸ€£, keep dreaming kazzy!
I wouldn't change the cottage door above isn't it just perfect! ❤️
We often say once we don't have the ties of schools, colleges & being close by to them we would love to move to the coast... But for now we are lucky being in Devon we're within an hour away of lots of coastline & beaches... And I keep saying let's explore some new coastal villages as we do tend to stick to what we know...
I came home feeling so much better in my mental health & wellbeing...
And felt my creativity bloom too... πŸ’•
πŸŒΏπŸ’›πŸŒΏπŸ’›πŸŒΏπŸ’›πŸŒΏπŸ’›πŸŒΏπŸ’›πŸŒΏπŸ’›πŸŒΏ
Enjoying a cottage kitchen dresser filled with flowers... My daffodils have just come to an end... I love the yellows at the moment reminding Spring is on its way (Spring equinox  Sunday, March 20th-my mother's birthday too)... The sun's been shining most of this week in Devon... 🌿🌞🌿
My local park, beautiful white magnolia I think?... Love seeing the blossoms blooming.
My pin dolly junk journal... Love looking at the layers of loveliness... I've added ribbons, tags and embroidery trims, lace to the ends of the pages... πŸŒΏπŸŒΌπŸŒΏπŸŒΌπŸŒΏπŸŒΌπŸ’›πŸ•Š️🌼
Odds & buds florist shop front filled with tulips.. 🌿🌷🌿🌷🌿🌷🌿From my market town... And home, a cosy cuppa on a nippy dayπŸ’•
Easter inspired painting... Using acrylics.
Enjoying the pastel colours & Spring themed 🎨🌿🌷🌿🌞🌿🌼🌿
I've actually started two more similar paintings but will show them in my next post
 vintage finds from Market day...
A vintage green porcelain shoe with real red laces, victoriana images year book (great for my pin dolly junk journal) and three little whimsical pots... πŸ’›
Spring selfie... The sunlight this morning was beautiful... πŸŒΏπŸ’›πŸŒΏπŸ’›πŸŒΏπŸ’›πŸŒΏπŸ•Š️🐰🐣
Take those small, simple pleasures & treasure them & hold those loved ones a little closer to your heart...

' Prayers for a peaceful world'

πŸŒΏπŸŒπŸ•Š️πŸŒΏπŸŒπŸ•Š️πŸŒΏπŸŒπŸ•Š️🌿

I don't think I have to explain myself on that one, it's so heavily in the News and the worry on everyone's minds...

Let's just escape for a while... And look at the simple joys... Nature, walks and art are my go-to for healing an anxious mind.

Wonderful to see the Spring flowers starting to appear πŸŒ±πŸŒΌπŸŒ±πŸŒ·πŸŒ±πŸŒΏπŸ’šπŸŒΏ

We had a quiet, but good family half term last week with lots of walking and quality time together...my daughter had two trips to ten pin bowling & the arcades even a booth for friends karaoke (though very expensive!). It was a treat! And she had a great time with three of her school friends. Then they went to the city mall for food & shopping.

πŸŒΏπŸ•Š️πŸŒΏπŸŒΌπŸŒΏπŸŒΈπŸŒ±πŸŒ·πŸŒ±πŸŒΌπŸŒΏπŸ•Š️🌿

Pancake day (shrove Tuesday) and World book day last week πŸ˜ŠπŸ’› my favourite childhood books... I still love reading them as an adult. The illustrations are adorable. Love the adventures of the animals... All the mischief they get up to... Cheer my soul.
Love Market day... πŸŒ±πŸ’šπŸŒ±πŸ’šπŸŒ±πŸ•Š️
A new-to-me scarf with foxys on... Still had all the tags on and not been worn. Flower market bulbs, second hand books... πŸŒ±πŸ“šπŸŒ·
Wonderful escapes around my Market town I love this secretive, overgrown part of the canal🌱🌷🌱🌷🌱🌷🌱🌷🌱
