I could listen to the sea all day and until the late evening and not get bored by its presence. The sea is sure a happy tonic for the soul...The ever changing waves lashing against the shells and rocks...churning the sea bed and foaming at the shore...I love listening to the waves as they roar. I grew up on an Island and as a child i could hear the sea from my bedroom. I need that sea fix, it feels homely that smell of sea air...
There is a change in the air...the heat of the Sun rays are long gone...it has been overcast for days...misty rain drifts in and out of Devon of late...its much cooler now. The bank holiday was filled with walks, mainly coastal ones...and high up on Bodmin moor clambering the rocks, bracken and through ancient Celtic stones forming the 'cheese ring' ...rugged bog land and heather to abandoned mines...sheep grazing in the harsh landscape. Although the weather had turned to drizzle we kept walking and enjoyed a pint of Cornish cider at a local pub on the moors...
Tintagel cliff top, Cornwall...
Amongst the brambles and leaves I noticed the most beautiful rose head. Droplets of water on its soft petals.
Such beauty!...
My blue sky photographs from previous posts have been replaced with more 'overcast', grey backgrounds, but i'd like to add we have had occasional Sunshine in between...There is definitely a change in the air...
My daughter will be starting Secondary School in the next week...eeeeekkk!!!! and another chapter in our lives begins...all systems go!.

Such beautiful photos! There's definitely a change in the air, I love the light at this time of year with its long shadows. The beaches are emptier now, it doesn't seem that long ago they started to fill! Good luck to you and your daughter beginning a new chapter, time goes by so quickly.
